Daniele, Owen & Conner

Daniele & Owen were married in Kihei, Maui this past Wednesday. It was such a pleasure to work with them. They were so sweet to each other and everyone around them. They had the most adorable little boy named Conner. Both of their families were extremely friendly and fun to photograph as well. I love my job because I meet the most wonderful people and I get to photograph one of the most important events of their lifetimes! Kim came and helped me out which was wonderful. We have been able to help each other at a good amount of weddings lately which has been great. Daniele & Owen, thank you so much for allowing us to capture the images of your special day!

some details...
I love this ring!

a couple from the ceremony:

Their son Conner is almost 2 years old. He's got tons of cute expressions. One thing I've learned about photographing little kids is not to get disappointed if they don't always look at the camera or at me. Look at how much fun the candids are!

I love this series! The light was PERFECT!

And what a gorgeous sunset!

I love it when I get some sun flare!

The happy family!
Best wishes to the three of you! Happy Holidays!

Maile & Peter

Maile and I have been close friends since High School and we have just recently reconnected since we have both been off of Maui for quite a few years. It was so much fun to take photos of her and her husband Peter up at Iao Valley. We had a great time and I got to know Pete and he is a great guy! It is always so much fun to photograph friends. I think people tend to feel even more comfortable in front of the camera if the photographer is someone that they know. Maile and Pete, thanks for letting me capture images of your happy marriage!

Daycia & Mikkel

Daycia & Mikkel were married at Tunnels Beach on the north shore of Kauai. It was my first wedding on Kauai and I would love to photograph more on that island. It has a very different feeling than any of the other islands and I really enjoyed capturing the essence of it. The wedding was small and intimate with two of their close friends. Daycia and Mikkel were so fun to photograph because they were completely in love and they weren't afraid to show it in front of the camera. Daycia had emphasized her preference towards a more artistic and photo journalistic style of photograph which really excited me because those are my favorite images to capture! Daycia and Mikkel - congratulations on your new marriage and I wish you all the best!

My growing belly!

I just want to start by saying that I normally don't post photos of myself on my own blog... but I thought it would be fun to share some images of my growing belly now that I am 6 months along. This is the most exciting time in our lives and we are so very happy to be bringing a new life into the world! I can't wait to be a mom and I am looking forward to every single thing about it. I want to thank Kim for taking the time to shoot these photos for us. It really means so much to me to have my growing body and my growing baby documented like this. I have been extremely fortunate to work with Kim a lot in the past year. We have learned so much from working together and we have also built a wonderful friendship as well. She is an amazing photographer and you can check out her blog here (she may even put a few up of us too :).
