Ballwey Family Portraits

We had such a nice time shooting family portraits out at Ironwoods Beach. I love this location and I recommend it highly because the beach is relatively uncrowded. It was great to be able to capture some images of the whole family and get some individual portraits as well. We couldn't ask for a more beautiful sunset either. Thanks guys for letting us capture some images of you on your vacation in Maui! Hope to see you back on Maui again.

Perillo Family

Back in 2006, I met the Perillo Family and took their family portraits. It was so nice to hear and take their portraits again from them when they returned for another family vacation. It was really neat to see how much the girls have grown over the last couple of years. They spontaneously decided to renew their vows down at Makena cove when the minister, Al Terry happened to be available (in between weddings that day), so romantic!! It was their 15th wedding anniversary. It was so special because he incorporated the kids into the ceremony. Thanks guys for letting us be a part of your day!

Mike & Bernice

Mike and Bernice's wedding was amazing! I haven't posted on my blog in a while because I've been trying to catch up on editing a number of photo shoots but I am excited to share these images from the wedding and there are more blog posts to come very soon. If you have been following my blog you probably saw Mike and Bernice's engagement photos last month. Mike is Kawika (my husband's) first cousin. I was the photographer/guest at their wedding and it was so much fun working with them and also celebrating with them (I even threw in a photo of our little Kaimana) . Mike and Bernice - I wish you a wonderful marriage!

Just a side note: They decided to take their portraits before the ceremony. Of course, I understand when couples don't want to see each other before hand and I never want to pressure anyone to do this but if you are at all thinking about doing this, I totally recommend it for a couple of reasons. The bride's makeup is fresh (no tears or lipstick marks on the cheeks), you don't have to worry about your guests waiting and you can set aside a good amount of time for photos (the more time you allow, the more amazing shots you can get), and it gives you a little time together before the ceremony to relax and enjoy each other's company - of course I will be photographing every moment of it as well :)

Bailey's Bat-mitzvah

I was so excited to photograph a Bat-mitzvah. Bailey was such a sweet young lady and her family was so proud of her accomplishment. It a special ceremony and a really nice celebration. They had such a fun party afterwards and Bailey did a beautiful hula for everyone. I loved all of the centerpieces and details at the party. Here's a few photos:
